Summer Reading | Blogs For Your Break | July’s Sum Sum Summatime Playlist

Has it already been a month  since we chatted in anticipation of summer?

I hope you are soaking up the sunshine and finding ways to savor this season.  If your regular routine doesn’t see much of a beat and rhythmic change, or it’s unlikely you will burn through your reading list while relaxing on the beach, don’t sweat it and fret not my friend! Steal some sunshine on your lunch, and take your break with a good blog post read.  I’m sharing my recent favorites by a few of my favorite bloggers.

Happy Reading!

An Apology to LGBTQ Brothers and Sisters from a Theological Conservative

Sammy Rhodes

I started following Sammy on Twitter years ago for the jokes he shared in 140 characters or less.  I read his writing now, and I am challenged and encouraged in the best of ways.

Learn the Spiritual Practice of a Good Laugh

Beth Marshall

Beth Marshall’s blog is a place of healing and hope for those experiencing grief.  I love the medicine she prescribes because it most always includes laughter.

How One Word Can Change Your Life

Rachel King Batson

I spoke with my friend Rachel earlier this year about how one word can change your life.  She wrote about it here.  Will it change yours?

 What is Inner Sobriety?

Seth Haines

Seth’s book, Coming Clean, is the book my heart did not even know I needed.  At first glance, it’s a diary of his first 90 days of sobriety, but sweet friends, it is so much more.  His reflections are honest and raw, and his southern tone and storytelling is captivating.  This book changed me. Read his blog to learn more.
