New Year | Healthier Beginnings

Each year in January, the numbers at the gym skyrocket. Classes are packed, private instructors are slammed, and all the healthier foods at the stores are bought out. For the past three years in the beginning of the year, I try to set new goals. The first year, I began cutting back on processed foods and started working out three days a week regularly. Last year, I started working out four to five days a week. This year, I am logging my foods and trying to increase my activity daily with only one rest day per week. In an effort to eat healthier, I have been collecting some recipes to add to our regular rotation. Here are some of the lists I have collected and have been using in my home.

Breakfast – It is the most important meal for so many reasons. Here are some great lists that will get your day going.

This is great for lunch or dinner. It also freezes well to eat on more than one occasion.

In the end, meals should be quick, easy, and as healthy as possible. Otherwise there is no way you will succeed in continuing on a healthy diet. It may be difficult to find the recipes at first that fit best with your lifestyle. But in the end, the more recipes that work for your family the more you shall succeed. Put health as a priority and you will not regret the results of your physique, immune system, and mental health.
